DAILY THOUGHT #98 "Where are We Going?"

"Determining the Destination and Getting Up and Going are the easy part... Figuring out the signs and  staying on the right path, that takes focus... Are you mentally prepared?"

Hello there my people! How are you? I hope that all is well with you... I am fine, just dealing with the daily tests of life hoping to better myself and those around me. We each should tackle our circumstances in that manner. I believe when we have a spirit to be positive and improve ourselves regardless of the stature of the problem, we will be better off in the long run.

Do you ever get upset with yourself? Do you ever feel that there is so much more that you could be doing with you life? Well I think that it is safe to say that I was recently in a similar mood. For some reason I had a "liver's block"... Now don't get this confused and assume that I am talking about my liver, that's in my body... Yes I've had a few drinks in my day, but not enough to have a liver block (laughing to myself on the inside). Just like an author or lyricist that seems to go blank in the brain for a period of time, I kinda did that with my life.

A person of my faith and personality lives by the signs given on an everyday basis. From things such as conversations, commercials, events, newspapers, work, practicing my religion, meditating and socializing I receive my answers to the many questions of life... even those that haven't been asked yet. But the task of processing the information and applying it to situations in life is where the difficulty emerges. Sometimes there are so many thoughts that you can't seem to register which would be best for that moment in time. And if you are quick to become overwhelmed, thinking at a pace that I do might be detrimental to you.

Eventually, thanks to the big man in the sky... we receive revelation on how things should be in our lives. We get the answers that we seek so much. I came to a realization that you really do get everything that you ask for, it just may come at a time that you didn't expect it or it may be presented in a form that is completely different from what you may have originally imagined.

Why do we desire things? Why do we wish to be categorized in our methods? I believe that people seek to be different in everything that they do, but never to the extent of alienating ones self from the approval of others. Life since the beginning of time has revolved around appeal. Because of this we constantly find our international community at a stand still economically and extremely chaotic in the realm of peace and war. If we took time to examine, compare and execute we would find ourselves living much easier and more successful lives, this I genuinely believe.

So the questions arises today "Where are We Going?"... What is next on the plate of the human society? What expectations and limitations will we set as a people. A lot of times we seem to forget that everything is for a reason. Think about your ears; they are on both sides of your head, so that they can work with your eyes in contemplating things going on around you that you may not be able to see and as well so that you sound might be balanced from all angles. Who and what are you listening to? I hope your heart and those that wish the very best for you.

Obstacles come like night and day.. Just as solutions appear all the time like the change of gasoline prices. We just have to have enough will power to actually speak against how our flesh wants to feel when things don't go the way that we would want them to. Because our leaders have become so selfish, we are forced to deal with decisions that are not always feasible to the life styles which we want to live... but does this mean that it's the end of the world? No... there is always some form of delivery on the other end you just have to be willing to receive it.

So from this moment forward do me a favor... map out where you plan to go: emotionally, physically, financially, romantically, educationally, and especially spiritually and watch how things come to fruition in your life... this I promise you! Be considerate to the feelings of others and be compassionate to the issues of the world. Poverty, racism, starvation, segregation, violence and killing still consume the majority of our society. I f we walk forward with a will do attitude and true compassion to love our fellow man we will see everyone financially satisfied and in harmony. Speak to someone that you don't know. Peace...

DAILY THOUGHT #97 "Who's Traveling With You?"

"If you're going to bring someone along, make sure they fit your mood... If you are going to go along, make sure your mood fits the destination!"

Greetings. We have made it to the middle of the week, I know that you are very excited. I'm so excited that my fingers are moving super fast just typing this. We are only a few days away from the best HBCU Classic on Earth... The Magic City Classic, between the Alabama A&M University Bulldogs and our nemesis the Alabama State University, whatever they are =^) Hey! It's classic week, I had to get at least one joke in. If you plan to travel down to the game in Birmingham, I wish you traveling grace and I can't wait to see you there.

Where are we going nowadays? Where do our ambitions carry us to? How far is to far away in the eye of life's journey? I personally know that I am seeking rest in my life... I want to be peaceably happy. I want to be secure in my finances, active in my community, engaged with all citizens and proactive with my gifts and abilities. Though it may seem like a lot, it's really not. These are simply the things that we should be doing on a daily basis anyways.

Ever had that moment where you just needed a little extra boost in order to get something done? Ever had to get that word from that very close friend as a source of motivation? I know that I have. When I marched in the band at A&M, I loved going to Friday night rehearsals because I knew everyone would be extra "crunk" (excited and of high enthusiasm) and it would push me to play even harder and with more intensity. This was a rush that made me feel complete as a bandsmen. It would not have been the same if I were by myself.

Imagine being the only member of the U.S. Army... Who do you think would fear you? More than likely, no one. Let's compare this to life. Someone had to feed you, clothe you, and bathe you... Someone showed you how to walk, play your favorite sport and to read and write... someone taught you the lessons of love and friendship and someone showed you the things that you don't care for in life whether intentional or not... So why do we believe that we should just do things on our own?

Now for many people, they have come to the realization that others are needed in life to be successful and knowledgeable. However most people struggle with finding the right influence needed to grow and prosper in the world. So many times, positive people have their lives turned around simply because they choose to hang with the wrong crowd. I like to tell my students all the time "Stand out instead of fitting in!" With this attitude you learn to set standards for everything that is involved in your daily walk. When you set standards you create a minimum level of expectation for everything that you share your time with.

As you move into the coming phases of your life recognize that you are what you eat. Ever noticed how eating certain things leaves a lingering smell on your breathe? Well hanging around certain people has the same effect. We as humans are influenced by what we see and hear. So understand that whatever you keep around you consistently will eventually become apart of your life. Surround yourself with positive, uplifting things and all will be well for you.

A mentor of mine told me that there is good in every situation regardless of how bad it may seem. So if you desire to walk with a certain crew... learn from miscommunication, learn from great experiences and most importantly... learn from the actions of other and observe everything that you can in order to travel prosperously. Speak to someone you don't know. Peace.

DAILY THOUGHT #96 "The Morning After"

"Don't wake up with regrets... It's not worth it!"

Hello there my people! How are you this fine Tuesday? I pray that all is well with everyone. I am doing well, just going through the day best I can. "Although it's difficult... sometimes we have to realize that being the bigger person is a necessity. Even when you don't want to mend broken issues, we must remember that if there is no bandage the pain will continuously linger in the form of a undesired memory."

Moving on... Am I the only one that was amazed by the order of the Presidential Debate last night? Man... this moderator wasn't playing any games. It reminds me a lot of the current schools systems across our nation. The same kids (candidates), but different attitudes and behaviors for different teachers (moderator). Why is it such a hard task for people to conduct themselves accordingly in all places? Why are we so inferior to positivity? These are questions that I seek answers for on a daily basis.

What is the motivation of the everyday human? Eat, sleep and see what's sparking up the world I guess... I figure I'd be asking too much for our motivation to involve: constant self meditation, common generosity, equality, 100% effort, and consistency in promises. One day...

Our world is faced with so many afflictions. Did you ever think that situations as such don't just fall out of the sky? Something leads to everything. Remember that. In recent weeks, I've found myself reflecting on the aftermath before the occurrence... Yeah, take a second and let that sink in. When you are intelligent enough to analyze the results before something happens, there is a far better opportunity that you will be happy with the outcome.

Now I'd be untruthful if I told you that I don't let things get to me or that I've never done something that I regret... But I would be doing a dis-service to myself and others if I didn't mention ways to prevent similar instances from happening. We have the power to control so many things with our mind and our tongue. We just have to be brave enough to trust our feelings and carry out our ambitious desires.

How many times have you done something to a friend and grew to regret what you did? You feel beneath yourself and you seek instant reconciliation... When we begin treating every person on the earth with the same regard we give to our friends, regardless of the circumstance... Our living situations will be so much better.

I don't want to prolong this blog, because the topic is very simple. Remember this... Although things may be in good standings now, that does not mean it will be that way forever. If you are doing things for the good and nothing is working out... remain steadfast in your quest to find answers. If you are doing things for the bad and everything is working out... be certain that a gust of wind that will knock completely off course is headed your way very soon! Do what you know is right and worthwhile. Have a memorable purpose that will last in the minds and hearts of all people, even after you are dead and gone. This attitude will propel you to unimaginable heights. Trust me. Be blessed and speak to someone you don't know today! "The Morning After" will be great if you do so! Peace...

DAILY THOUGHT #95 "How Long Will It Take?"

"Do something to make things better in your life... It's up to you!"

Hello there my people! How are you? I pray that all is well with you! I a doing wonderfully. Today is my birthday, so I am more blessed than ever...so grateful to see another year and continue this walk towards my God given purpose. Seeing that I plan to become President of the United States (#46), it's just amazing that the 1st Black President's final Presidential Debate falls on the day I was born. Be sure that you tune in tonight and witness both candidates. Also, make sure you get out and voice your opinion about the direction of our nation by voting. But, more importantly, open your heart and mind to receive the signs God wants to give you!

Symbolism is an acquired gift in my eyes. Because we are humans, we tend to view our surroundings based on our emotions and experiences, instead of actually embracing that which is before us. How do you embrace what's before you? Very simple, just engage! Because of fear we don't speak to one another, we avoid asking and answering questions and we tend to not trust and mistreat our abilities. Life was not designed to give us all the answers automatically, but neither was it designed for us to live in a manner of fear, complacency and complete misunderstanding.

I am so thankful for the relationship that I have developed with my inner-self over the years. Because I have learned to relax my mind and spirit, I am able to jump the hurdles of life with a little more ease. Many times we are turned down for things, just to see if we will continue seeking our desires. I like to call that the test of life. Just this morning, I went to the library at Huntsville High School to use the internet. The librarian told me there was no computer with access, seeing that all the students have laptops now. I then went to the front office. They suggested the library....right. So then I decided to walk around and amazingly I found a computer lab with internet access. This is the kicker though, as I began to introduce myself to the teacher in the room, she informed me that we met already when I spoke at her church, while running for the School Board. Crazy how things work out.

While I was in New Orleans this weekend, I had plenty of time to think... clear my head, and prepare myself for the many ambitious goals that I wish to accomplish before the end of 2012. I was also able to see the beauty of marriage, the consequences of being disobedient and the satisfaction of doing what you love to do and getting paid for it. Why can't everyday be like that? Why is it so difficult to simply enjoy life? This is something that I would ask everyday... now I don't have to anymore.

See what you must remember is this... there is someone who is greater than anything else ever to grace this planet, the Creator. What we must realize is that he has a plan that only he knows. Once we come to that resolution, we then must understand that we each have a unique purpose in the fulfillment of that plan. Then we must also understand that somedays we will be in the dark as far as what we should do. Other days we will feel there is no purpose for us to even exist... but the moment when things seem to be amazing we must understand that it was only a gift of grace.

Many people say that world peace is impossible. I totally disagree. Where there is respect, there is peace. Many people believe that our economy will never be balanced again.. definately not a surplus. Once again I totally disagree. Where there is opportunity, there is action. Many people believe that there is no way to be happy everyday of your life. I have learned over the past few weeks... that I totally, absolutely disagree. Remeber people, there were times when people survived with none of the things we are fortunate to have today. There are times when people survive with no access to understand what was going on in the world. And of course there are times when people may have everything taken away from them, but their life... that is mercy!

So I ask you today... "How Long Will It Take?" for us to realize that we have so many wonderful things going for us... to realize that the world is at our fingertips, we just have to grab it... to realize that we can get along with any person in the world, we just have to have the heart and mind to do so... and to realize that life and all it's situations are what you make it! Be the master of what transpires in your life. Think positively, have endurance and always believe that the best will come and it will be apart of you! All is well my people. Thank you for reading. Tell a friend about the blog and speak to someone you don't know!

Sunday Reflection #12 "A Woman to Cherish"

"Pain endured from birth increases love to unimaginable heights... it is our duty to cherish that endurance and carry on the responsibility of love, just as a Mother carries her child until time to debut to the world!"

Hello there my people. I hope that all is well with you. I am blessed and thankful to see yet another day. College football season has started and the Labor Day weekend is underway. I can't help but to be happy regardless of how the enemy attempts to attack me. I heard something on TV the other day. A man stated: 'Even when you are upset, if you smile... you will be in a good mood!' Think about that as you face your challenges of the week. I promise you will see positive results.

It's been a while since I last did a Sunday Reflection, but I felt today was especially important so I had to do one. For those who are unfamiliar with the difference in my posts, a Daily THOUGHT is an expression of worldly situations and how to cope with them... Whereas a Sunday Reflection gives reverence to the almighty and how he works in the world. We are so blessed to have a Father who is merciful and everlasting. The gifts that he provide will never be compared to the works of man.

What does it mean to cherish something? Does it mean that you care for it dearly? Or does it mean that you care for it so much that you would never let it go? I believe that cherish has several interpretations. Some may view cherish as a term that represents voluntary sacrifice... meaning because you cherish something you would do anything for it. Others may view cherish as a reflective term... meaning it's nothing to really be handled physically, but admired and adored emotionally and mentally. Either way in order to cherish something it must be of worth.

We find ourselves as humans searching daily for an answer to the questions of life. Never satisfied with what we have, we search for something that we can call our own and be proud of to possess. We endure many hardships, hoping to find that ounce of completion in materialistic things and approval of our peers, to the point where we forget the simple blessings which we had been granted since birth. But how can you cherish something that you know nothing about? What if I had been separated from the acts of love when I was born? What if I was conceived into a world of negativity and lack of opportunity? What do I do then?

Many times we struggle in life because we don't know where to look for the answers. Or when we look for them, we become impatient simply because things don't move when we would want them to. If you haven't realized by now I am here to tell you, that your journey was not meant to be traveled swiftly... but it was meant to be paved that others will be touched by and follow your trail. What are you doing to create a pathway of harmony and success in your environment. What are you praying for on a daily basis?

Well I will tell you all one thing that I pray about everyday... and that's how thankful I am to have a real Mother in my life... "A Woman to Cherish". She has been my backbone in so many difficult situations. She has mentored me through so many circumstances. She has shared with me so much information that has been beneficial to my intelligence. She has cared for me in my lowest hours. And most importantly she has given me the space and encouragement to become just what God has destined for me. If I were to tell some people the things that go through my head on a daily basis, it would make them perceive that I am a fool or some crazy psycho who needs some form of medical attention. These same things however, when shared with my Mother, are door openers that help me to understand how to deal with the spiritual warfare of our international society... as well symbolism that proves I was selected from a special tree of life that I should be extremely proud of and thankful for.

Whenever I decide to find the woman that I will spend the rest of my life with, I hope that she will resemble the spirit, humility, beauty, work ethic, intellect, humor, dedication, determination and love of my Mother! Anything less won't do. Many woman do not understand how powerful their responsibility is to the world. I thank God that my Mother accepts the adversities of life and meets them with prayer, positive outlook, and the power of Jesus Christ that each of us have down on the inside... waiting to be released. She has blessed my life abundantly and I only hope that in my lifetime I will have made her proud.

As you go forth in your daily routines, take time to think about the important women in your life. My Mother and I will talk for hours even when we intended to ask one question and get of the phone... but that's love. If you cherish something, don't let that be vocal alone... make it known through your actions. Be patient and faithful in your endeavors and all your desire will be met and all will be well. Thank God for the little things that you have and watch how many great things he will send your way! My Mother taught me that. Happy Birthday Mama! I love you. Speak to someone you don't know people. Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #94 "Respecting the Battlefield"

"Sized in variations and structured with several interpretations, seeking similar manifestations...though different in appearance we are the same in creation...where have our minds gone?"

Hello there my people! How are you? I am very well and blessed to be living. We must give thanks for the simple things in order to learn appreciation. Once this is done, the larger things will fall into place before you know it. Be sure that you are truly ready for that which you seek.

Well it's the morning after elections in Huntsville, Alabama. I would like to extend a warm congratulations to all of those that submitted themselves to stand as a public servant for the citizens where they are located. I also would like to extend the hand of job well done to the winners of the race. I wish you well in your endeavors and I pray that you will make decisions that are best for all people equally. Thank you to those that supported! God bless you!

Life will place upon us several opportunities where we could grow to hate something. Hate however is such a strong and negative term. Used so often, many would think that it is a regularity to the make up of society. There is rarely a time when you aren't surrounded by someone who hates something, even if it is something as simple as mustard on a sandwich. Over the years I have learned that you don't have to like something, but indeed you should respect it. Why is that? Why should I respect something that I don't care for? It's simple, because there are things that we do in our lives that others wouldn't agree with...but because we are still people, we expect people to treat us accordingly regardless of what we may think personally.

For centuries, Blacks have had to deal with the issue of color as being a hurdle in scholastic advancement, career choice, economic status and even living conditions. As a grade school student, my father would tell me all the time that I would have to work harder than the next guy if I wanted to go far in this country, simply because of the color of my skin. Don't be mis-guided now...this isn't simply because the White man would work against me, but because my own kind would do the same.

We find ourselves discouraged when something we regard in a highly manner is torn down or revealed to be something other than what it truly is. Let's take the death of Martin Luther King, Jr. When this event rang out across the world, Blacks begin to divide. "We can never expect to progress when we collectively are not on one accord." It doesn't matter what you are professing if you don't have a level playing field. It doesn't matter how well you can do something, if no one can see you do it. It doesn't matter how great of a plan you have, if you don't have the resources to execute.

Because humans are distracted by the materialistic things of society and inspired by the approval of others, we miss so much in life. Now clearly I am not of fan of fitting in with the crowd. I would much rather stand out. But, I must respect the fact that everyone isn't as mentally independent as I am. If I want them to understand me, I must be able to present my foundational essentials in attempts to collectively move forward. As well I must show them respect for their own interpretations.

When going into battle, regardless of your mission and the purpose of that cause...you must create a level playing field. When things are not equal across the board, you can not expect similar results. Poverty stricken areas suffer educationally and occupationally. Does that mean the smartest person in the city can't still reside there? Does that mean the best athlete can't be born there? Does that mean that every citizen in that area is depressed or strung out on drugs? No...it just means they don't have the level playing field to get where they need to be.

Remember that in life when you truly have a passion to do something, the time will come. However when things stand in front of you to prevent your destiny, your faith and trust must grow even stronger. Life's hardships are designed to work as stepping stones. Step over your struggles and propel your heart and mind into battle for all things that are good! And when you are in a bad situation, don't be angry because others are in great conditions. Don't become jealous because you feel you deserve something and didn't get it. And please don't be spiteful and take things out on others when things don't go your way. Simply respect the fact that something happen to make things the way they are. There is obviously another mission at hand for you. Treasure that responsibility; do that well and then your desires will be more than you would ever imagine. Get ready for war people! And be sure to fight the good fight! Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #93 "Going Through to Get Through"

"In this maze called life if we view it as it is viewed from the top...All will be well."

Hello there my people. How are you? I am blessed and highly favored in the Lord, and proud of it. So much is going on where I am. School has let back in for both our grade level systems and our local universities. The temperature is beginning to produce cooler nights and the enthusiasm of politics is definitely in the air. What else is there to want? With band, I mean football season =^) right around the corner I know that the remainder of this year will bring much excitement and opportunity for all those that wish to have it.

Since the beginning of 2012, I can say that I have read more this year than any year previously. Now don't get it mis-understood. Of course I've read more collectively in the other years of my life than just 2012, but on a year by year ratio, I've read more this year than any other single year of reading totals. "The only way to expand the brain is by expanding your surroundings. When you don't have a way to get anywhere from where you are, allow a great book or reading passage to take you there." I've found through reading, many emotions can be centered and several ideas will be developed.

Why do writers write? Why do preachers preach? And why in the world do we go through so much to get somewhere? These have all been questions of my life for quite sometime. Because of wreckless driving, cities have now added speed bumps in communities that at times tear your car up and really keep you from moving smoothly to your destination. Because of terrorist attacks, the screening process to board a plane has extended intensively and many people have grown to feel violated just to travel to a place where going by vehicle would be obsolete. But what about the people who suffer simply because they are in the situation? Where is the justification to that?

Many of us can reflect on times in grade school where the teacher would tell us that the good have to suffer with the bad. As a young child it was very difficult for me to gather a reason to why I had to be punished for the mis-actions of my fellow peers. As I have gotten older, I understand that I have a responsibility as well and if I don't do my part...there is room for error that will effect everyone that is involved.

People so often forget that the motives of humans are derived from our emotions. How we act towards others, how we execute our initiatives, how we create and develop relationships, and simply how we govern our everyday lives is based on emotions. "By failing to be one with our emotions, we will succumb to the happenings of earth." Reggie what does that mean you ask? Well let me tell you...Each day we are placed in situations through the course of life. In those situations we deal with personal circumstances. God and Satan work through others to amplify or deplenish our feelings. How we react emotionally is how we will function as an individual. Got it?

People if you didn't know that we are used in both lights, you better get on board and understand. Let's examine this...Many times you will be going through something in life and have no idea where you will get the answer from, but because you humbled yourself to the incident you opened a door to receive humility in the same light. When this happens your answer will come from anywhere but from where you expected. I find myself so many times confused about what I should do about a particular situation, but because I humble myself...whether it be through a friend, a stranger, a commercial, a song that happens to come on, or even someones conversation I get my answer. Whereas when I'm in a situation and allow the situation to get the best of me, I find myself being surrounded by everything but positivity and a solution.

We must understand, as I have written several times before, that the seeds we sow will definitely reap. And often that reaping is way sooner than you think. By exposing an ill attitude you attract an ill attitude. By exposing sincerity and joy, you become surrounded by the same. Now does this mean that everything will be perfect because you are doing well? No, but it does mean that what you reap from being positive in a negative atmosphere will be more impactful than your dreaded experience, which righteously could have gotten the best of you!

We must learn to find a resting place in our emotions. We must learn to sit still in the midst of our daily storms and we also must learn that you have to get hit in order to be able to withstand getting hit! If there is anything that you should remember from the blog today...Understand that you can't have a testimony without a test! You have to go through something to truly get somewhere. Take on life as a judgement process, but don't be distracted by the judges of the earth who really don't matter. Listen to the voice that will guide you into lights of harmony and peace. Work alongside others, so that when you go through...it won't be as bad, you'll have someone there with you. "Going Through to Get Through"...a very simple statement with such powerful meaning. Keep pushing my people and you will reach your destinations. Make yourself last, but put yourself first. Think about that...It will set in one day. Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #92 "Pomp and Circumstance"

"When musicians look at sheet music as just notes on a page, they misinterpret the delivery and purpose desired and created by the composer. All humans must view their lives in the same manner. Misunderstanding daily details will alter the manifestation of our destiny!"

Greetings! What a wonderful Thursday it is. I pray that everyone is doing well and making preparations for a very exciting and eventful weekend. How have things been for you thus far this week? Regardless of how you may answer, your determination will guide you to the feelings that you desire, only if you follow your determination. Push after your goals and make them happen, not just imagined.

Today marks 7 days and 7 years since I graduated from high school. Wanna know something else that's quite interesting? Let's look at the numeric dates... I graduated on 5/17/05 and today (graduation day for one of the kids I mentor) is 5/24/12... Well 5 x 5 = 25 and 2 + 5 = 7 (5 represents May); also 05 + 12 = 17 and 1 x 7 = 7 (05 and 12 are the years). Now what is so important about this you may ask? Well it's simple 7 is the number of perfection and to me "Pomp and Circumstance" is a perfect moment. Ironically my older brother graduated from high school in '92, that's which Daily THOUGHT this is.

Anyways... What does "Pomp and Circumstance" mean? Well the general definition implies that this is a splendid celebration with ceremony and fuss. Sir Edward Elgar viewed it as a musical expression worthy of exceptional regard. He wrote the very popular song that we hear today at graduations, originally for the coronation of King Edward VII. Well what do we have here... another 7 (VII). "I guess it's safe to say that some things line up in life well before any of us even step foot on earth."

When we think of circumstance, we must consider the old phrase, what goes around comes around. In a time of culmination or commencement, we must reflect from which we came. "Daily we graduate into the next moment of time, leaving behind memories that we will never see again but emotions that we can definitely embrace forever." What is there to celebrate in life with all the circumstances that surface as we attempt to go about our daily routines? What are we moving towards in our lives? Are we remaining stagnant? How do you embrace the same emotions that built your character, on a daily basis?

This is the season to push ideas. This is the time to fulfill purposes and develop habits that will follow you into upcoming years. As an educator one is exposed to so many life situations. Kids tell you stories that you would never imagine were possible, especially at such young stages of adolescence. Personally I think to myself, what in the world lead up to something like that happening? We find some kids only eat when they are at school. We see some kids who battle depression, simply because they can't fit in. We see others attempt so hard to be different, that they fail to fulfill the requirements needed to graduate. And more upsetting, we find kids who come to school just because they have to... with no ambition of doing anything with their lives. This is the circumstance that we must change!

I have always been amazed at the wardrobes that are present during some of our most celebrated events. We look at prom, weddings, graduations, coronations, balls and dances and various religious functions for examples. "When we want to, our people will dress to impress and create amazing atmospheres simply because of the attire." My challenge for each of you is to dress up every situation that may come your way. How do you do that? Well it's very easy... "When an occurrence finds you, whether good or bad, address it with analysis, concern, respect and the future in mind."

Never assume because something seems to be going well that it will remain that way for a lifetime. There are proper steps that one must demonstrate in order to keep things in positivity. We have the right to live, think and grow freely. Never restrain yourself from learning opportunities and social advancement. We, regardless of skin tone, origin, religion, age or social status are all under one makeup that originated long before anything that we know of today was thought to be in existence. We must remember this when we address or interact with our people.

To all of those who are participating in the graduation experience at this time, I wish you well in all your endeavors. I hope that you will often, reflect on the experiences you observed and absorbed before your commencement. Those memories will serve as lessons for you in the future. Take your mistakes as stepping stones and allow them to propel you to higher heights in your destiny. Take you accomplishments and use them as guides to who you truly are as well, evidence that you have the ability to accomplish whatever you put your mind to. I believe in you! Now believe in yourself, for that is all that really matters!

Be safe and speak to someone that you don't know. Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #91 "Give Me More!"

"If all your knowledge is received, instead of being gained or observed, your life will bring debts you could never imagine"

Greetings my people! How are you? I hope that all is well with everyone. It's Tuesday, so I know as things are starting to unveil you are preparing more and more for the end of the week. Be patient in your endeavors and all will pass before you know it. Take this time to get organized and place your priorities where they belong. This will qualify you for an all expense paid, productive week. The rest will solely be on your interpretation of and reaction to circumstances that may come your way.

So tell me this... when is too late? When do you feel is time to let things go? When must you pull the leash and take away any forms of freedom? These are questions that run through the minds of spouses, parents, teachers, employers, friends and even our enemies. "We as humans tend to put so much faith or confidence in the hands of others, to the point we over extend our expectations." Think about a love of your life that seemed to be perfect the moment that you laid eyes on that person... there could be no better match huh? Well everything seemed to be that way until you truly learned the ways of this individual. Then of course these feelings quickly and drastically transformed.

Those who are pet owners, particularly those with a dog, are familiar with walking their animal periodically. Usually, unless it's in some open field or vacant area of some sort, the owner will use a leash. "The use of the leash is simple symbolism of how much margin of freedom one should have and the power to take away that same right at anytime." When we encompass our emotions and allow them to direct our paths, we sometimes become too lenient or over protective with our ideas. When there is no balance of forces, this creates various altercations that will either end up in our favor or prelude to our doom.

Now don't let these words stir you up too much, because what we must realize is the control of our situations is in our hands. If humans would ever come to this realization, then the desire to be given something all the time will gradually descend. I like to refer to a phrase called "spoon feeding" all the time when I speak with young people. I inform them each time, that this is something I will not do for them regardless of the circumstance. Some may think that I'm not to nice because of this, but those who are wise about life completely understand.

The world from the beginning of time has been made up of individuals who determined there destiny by going out and getting something. The risk takers are the individuals that humans read about in class or during personal general study. Those who were brave enough to embrace their ideas with ambition and to chase their dreams with enthusiasm and determination are those who are remembered for lifetimes. How do you want to be remembered in life? These are questions we must ask before we take action... with anything. Pure laziness would be an understatement if used to describe the overall personality of our people.

"We have become lazy in our traditions, our customs, our standards, our efforts, our beliefs, our study habits, our methods of teaching, our advising, our communicating and our loving." So many times the source of all our daily encounters are developed from a desire or love, attention and acceptance. We have become programmed to believe that being given something is a form of deserved love. True enough we should always give in regards of expressing appreciation and genuine concern for another person, but we should not expect things in life to be handed to us. Many times we have the tools, but we choose not to build... we have the information, but we choose not to read... or more so often we have the vision, but we choose to remain in solitude.

The challenge, what humans must realize, is not the incidents that occur daily... but life in itself. Life is designed to confuse and mislead us. Earth has become a domain of individual ratifications and stipulations. Because of our natural rebellious intuition, it still remains difficult for guidelines and principles to remain overtime, as individuals often find themselves eager for change. My challenge for you this week is an easy one. Find more ways to provide for yourself. Find more discipline in yourself that will guide your steps of preparation.

I am very confident that my people will soon be back on track to living peacefully and prosperously... but it will take the efforts of all individuals. "What we speak is what we endure.. What we endure is what we allow... What we allow is who we are!" Who are you? Have a great day! Speak to someone you don't know...

Daily THOUGHT #90 "Words of Wisdom"

"A wise man not only carries wisdom wherever he goes, but he also shares it with whomever he knows..."

Greetings my people! Happy Tuesday to you! How is life treating you? I hope that things are well on your end. "Things are definitely on the up and up for me at this time... not because I have received everything that I desire, but because I know that great things are in store to those who walk accordingly, and I am completely focused on doing just that." The path we choose to walk is filled with various options of adventure, the longer we walk, the more we discover.

Over the past few months, I have really had an opportunity to watch and observe the mannerisms of human behavior. The human is first influenced by inner emotions. These emotions are derived from the personal experiences of home and family initially. "How one is loved and nurtured is vital in the understanding of our purpose in life." Although we each are made to independently complete a mission while here on earth, we still survive only when we are instructed by valuable resources.

The home, though rarely analyzed, is a representation of many situations. The human feels it necessary to be free in the place of residence. As one grows in age, there are various principles and methods that are adopted while building character, discipline and assertiveness. These same traits are expected to be displayed in all circumstances that may occur while at home. Why do we embrace so many persona's in life? Especially at a young age, but even as adults... we sacrifice so may things for the idea of having a happy home, whereas when we are off doing things that are more personal or that may pertain to our individual goals, we break those barriers of solitude and selflessness for the acceptance of our personalities.

"Knowing when something should be done is nothing compared to doing something you know needs to be done when no one else is willing to do it." Discipline is more than being quiet when you are at an assembly... Discipline is a craft, your craft! Discipline is a self awareness of all surroundings whether physical, mental or spiritual. Those who are able to encompass all three elements will truly be happy with their days.

Smiles are hard to come by nowadays. Seems as if everybody is suffering from something, not knowing how to manage... Was there ever a time or will there be a time again when people are comfortable enough to live life together? "When we all absorb the actions of mother nature, it makes it much easier for us to cope with the dealings of life." John F. Kennedy arguably had the chance to be known indisputably as the best President of the United States of America in history. If it had not been for the selfishness of one particular individual who felt he was worthy enough to end another man's life, citizens of our country would have witnessed this act of miraculousness. "We always seem to want, to have the great things in life, but when they are right before our eyes, we turn to darkness instead of visualizing light!"

Today, my "Words of Wisdom" are very simple. We never know the impact that we have on the lives of others. We never truly know who is watching every move that we decide to make. We never know who is actually listening to what we have to say when there is complete chaos in our surroundings. We never know who is actually moved by what we consider to be our normal personality. With that being known, who will you be for the world to see? Saying hello or serving as an ear alone, sometimes makes the world of a difference. "Be the image that makes life better, not a reflection of an image that makes life worse!" Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #89 "Our 2 Cents"

"The simplicity of given worth is sometimes the folly of understanding true value..."

Hello there world. I hope that all is well with everyone. I pray that all Mothers are recapping an amazing Mother's Day weekend. I also pray that all families are still taking the time to give the deserved praise which all great Mothers should have. This, just as any other monumental holiday which calls us to give reverence to a particular entity on a particular day, should be celebrated at all times, year round... not just on the day man decided to make it annual. "Show love to others all time that you can. This is indeed a mission of worth."

I am so thankful to have a Mother like the one I have. She serves as an ear, a comforter and a guiding light in some of the darkest periods of my life. I am so grateful for her "2 cents" that she shares with me whenever we communicate. Today however, I want to take a different outlook on the terminology "Our 2 Cents". Do you ever find yourself in position to take control of a situation...it seems like the right thing to do but you eventually find out there's nothing right about it at all!

Let's take superstar athletes for example. When these individuals are placed in situations where someone must come up with the big play or someone must lead the team from defeat to victory or when their is a powerful message needing delivery... but the coach can't give it, it becomes the nature and instinct of the superstar to take control and offer his "2 cents". If it works out, the person is praised and placed on a level where such abilities are always expected... but indeed we are human.

Many times in life we fail at the big moments, not because it wasn't meant to happen, but because we were not prepared for the opportunity. "We gather our lives and forget to gather our surroundings." Many times we are placed exactly where we need to be, but because we are in search of our own understandings of understanding... (yes, take some time and think about that) we tend to miss the forest from the trees. I wish my people would gather a desire to observe. With observation, one can conduct research and with research one is able to produce statements and formulas that lead to solutions.

All in all, everyday of life is structured for the human to find solutions to all occurrences that are presented on a daily basis. Life in turn, trickles various understandings to multiple people at many different times. Those who are like minded, usually are determining the same solutions, for similar situations around the same time. With this in mind, we should truly be able to figure out our purpose, as well help our fellow man in determining theirs.

As you go about your daily activities, don't get so caught up in trying to figure everything out, that you miss the things that are right there in front of you. So many times we find ourselves angry at someone else because for some reason, some person always has something to say in regards to what we are wishing to do individually. I like to call those kind: passenger seat drivers. They always seem to have all the answers. Some days, we do the same thing to ourselves. Everything we need to know will be placed before us, but because of our own personal emotions or misinterpretations, we suffer.

Examine, examine, examine and make a decision that will have a long lasting positive effect. Consider any and everything of a situation before coming to a conclusion. When the only person you consider is yourself, you will reap all ends of a matter... both good and bad! When you make decisions based on the wellness of every entity involved, you prepare much deserved prosperity in your life. Seek things that are worthwhile. Have a great week. Speak to someone you don't know! Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #88 "Why So Serious?"

"Being a Joker with everything in your life is not always the best thing to do!"

Plagued by the ignorance of the fallen community... Shaken by the strong hand of a plotting society... Ignored by the emotions of the crying child... I often imagine if the current generation of youth will wake up and understand the constant movements of regression we take daily as we live out this obstacle called life. I wonder where does their anger stem from, for them to be so young? I ponder where they wish to exploit their energies.

It seems as if the true responsibilities of life are distant in the minds of our youth. Gradually granted forms of freedom, only to be misused and held in no high regard, are facets of tradition and opportunity that we as an international body have lost. Over and over again we find ourselves replaying the slave mentalities that Black's had to endure centuries ago. "Only this time the shackles aren't on our ankles or hands, but around our minds and hearts." We become so closed minded to the positivity of life that we never recognize those things that are good, letting them just pass us by.

We place so much focus on the ideas of others... longing for acceptance, yearning for approval and hoping for love! Do we really hope for love however? If we did, we wouldn't avoid it when it appeared before us. Humans have the tendency to create their own definitions of what things represent. Therefore when time comes to absorb a meaning of something (i.e. what love may have truly been for that situation), we miss it because it fails to meet or agree with our personal criteria. "Why So Serious?"

Does life take all your time away so that you can't relax and let go of your worries? Do you ever feel as if circumstances are just sequentially becoming overwhelming? Well of course you should... if you don't understand the elements of balance. One must be able to delegate personal tasks, just as a principal delegates daily expectations to his staff. "We have so much control over the tests of the world, but we have to remove ourselves from fear if we are to prevail."

Many people frown at the trial of having multiple options when faced with trying dilemmas or even the movie to watch or what restaurant to eat at. "Why So Serious?" Why not embrace the multiple choices of the world while you can?

I long for a time where my people will be serious about things. I pray daily that my people would be able to know their place in the overall master plan. By knowing so, we are then able to walk in directions that are not only benefiting to us individually, but also collectively. "You are not truly accomplished until you have served as a benefactor for others!" By becoming selfless in thought and action, you become extraordinarily beneficial in the lives of many.

As you go into the weekend, let your mind be free. While you are free, explore all the things that you can and be of assistance to someone, even if it's just a smile or hello. I wish you well. I hope that you will be safe. I pray that you will get serious, regardless what may be your endeavor! Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #87 "Sustaining the Rebuttal"

"The world hears your heart even when you believe no one is listening...So don't beat yourself up when life absorbs the mannerisms of the world... Be patient in your endeavors, but steadfast in your ambitions!"

Hello there world! How are you? I am well, steady doing the usual, trying to survive this life one day and one situation at a time. The school year is winding down, so emotions are high, energy is sometimes being misused and individuals are expressing themselves in manners that are not necessarily appropriate for the expected scholastic atmosphere but fortunately, the time is passing by pretty swiftly. What are you doing as we grow closer to summer's season. I am very excited.

Many times I find myself going to restaurants or places where there is employee and customer react, and the service is not always that great. Now I do keep in mind, unlike most people that there are things that can happen, that will happen and sometimes are happening right then that we have no clue on... and this causes an employee to display a certain negative demeanor. This is not to serve as an excuse, but to blueprint some form of understanding. I myself, personally believe that whatever occupation one pursues, should be not only representing of the style one wishes to live but also, a rib to that persons life.

"When we choose professions that balance our personalities and emotions, we are indeed in route to success." With a clear objective, no obstacle will hold forever. Life has its ways of presenting tribulation, but he who withstands is surely granted a worthwhile reward. I admire those are able to be humble even when denied deserving opportunities. So many times in life we see the good person having to suffer and the not so good person, prevailing in all situations and living a lavish materialistic life. I too am one who has a fancy for different valuables, but I am also loyal to that which is truly important in life.

Ever feel like everything you plan just won't work out? Ever actually took the time to map out your goals and desires for a particular time period, and as you attempted to check off your list, more and more situations and tasks seemed to appear? I know I have. I think about my Great Aunt who tells me all the time how she will go to the store to pick up two or three items at max and then leaves out with a basket full of groceries. She chuckles because she knows that her intentions are not always carried through as expected.

When this happens to us in life do we chuckle or do we frown up? When we make plans and these plans create their own path how do we respond? Any wise man knows that the enemy is forever lurking when positivity is brewing. Because the enemy knows us and others so well, the enemy will place us in situations that will not only take us off topic, but instill anger where we were peaceful. Sometime in life things will appear from your plans and turn out better than you would have possibly imagined, but when this rare instance is obsolete and turmoil is around the corner how do you react and how do you survive?

Stand firm in your beliefs and remain committed to your desires and responsibilities. Times will come where you will believe that there is nothing that will go right and your ideas have no purpose. When these tests make themselves evident, prove yourself worthy by "Sustaining the Rebuttal" life attempts to throw at you. by continuing to push forward you eventually will stumble upon that lighted path needed to place you in the right direction. Speak to someone you don't know today... and when life tells you no, you just say OK, because eventually you will be strong and wise enough to tell life how things will be. Think about that! Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #86 "Unleashing"

"Pass the word to those around you. When the word is good you will hear good things in return..."

Hello there my people! How goes it? Things go well with me. There are spirits in the atmosphere, but I believe that I am ready to embrace them. I've gained certain tools from life's lessons, have I not? I've pretty much mastered the art of analyzation. Or have I?

You know the enemy (any adversary to the mission at hand) is constantly or better yet always building an army of many names. Some people, so blind to surroundings become an announcement during roll call. Has your name been called and you been marked present in the midst of these situations? Have you ever observed when you've been the spokesperson or the one taking roll?

"Humans have a tendency to create their own levels of which they feel all forms of understanding; courtesy and respect go out of the window. Not realizing, by breaking procedure in certain environments one creates consequences that snowball negativity. With this new atmosphere chaos is only temporarily un-present."

I look at my people (persons of many origins) and laugh at how far off we are from realization of what is behind, in front of and before us! Why laugh, do I!? Well it's simple... There is nothing else that can be done... in attempts to remain peaceful and positive of course. If you don't chuckle, you will lose sensibility. My people will push you!

I wish we'd use our several attributes and create conclusions and solutions that produce advancement, longevity, tradition, respect and intelligence. Fear of acceptance halts several demonstrations, but we must soon disregard that attitude or expect to continue suffering emotionally and physically.

"Why not challenge yourself to unleash who you are, not what you are!?" Many times we get so complacent and habitual in mannerisms that we create a persona that is not necessarily beneficial to our various opportunities and abilities. "We must remember to cultivate our gifts regardless of our surroundings... When this is done, the snowball effect is now in your hand and with sincerity and humility, any true desire is maintainable!"

I challenge us to unleash that which truly is inside of us. But you must recognize, before you begin "Unleashing", you must understand what is behind, in front of and possibly before your life. "Every situation is the Preamble to a new path in your life. Develop a pattern which displays how you want to be remembered."

I think I'll talk tomorrow about "How We Place Our Shoes"... Good day my people! Peace, I wish for you...

Daily THOUGHT #85 "Puzzling Appointments"

"Some journies are meant to be blindfolded"

Well it's my planning period, so I guess I'll take the time to write the world today! Hello world! How are you? I am doing very well I must say. I'm just walking through mazes, stimulated by the daily affirmations of thoughts amogst my life. What's going on in the world, other than opportunity to experience the scripting of that which we call life right?

Today I want to focus on "Puzzling Appointments". Have you ever wondered why situations seem to fall directly in place when your imagination is trigured in on the matters of the present time? This is viewed by most as coincidence... You think of something, and then it or something relative comes to pass. This indeed, is not a mistake, but a privilege for one to take advantage of the art of intuitive expression. "We are given pathways to various destinations daily. How we respond determines the direction we go and how long it will take to get there."

If you are fortunate enough in life, you will be exposed to the importance of everyone that you see on a daily basis. Several times we as humans, get so wound up in the atmosphere that we deviate from the purpose of our presence in that particular environment. It is an understatement to say "everything happens for a reason"... "Timing isn't everything, but everything is timing" We must remember that as we travel our various journies.

Many people wonder why they miss appointments, forget obligations, show up late to important events and come up short when anticipating something excellent as an outcome for a situation. This is nothing to necessarily panic about or search out rocket scientists for. This is something that is tackled with simple preparation and initiative. Each day there will be obstacles placed in the pathway of our goals and desires. These are not there to hender you pursay, but they can if you let them. Humans must come to a realization that our plans are mere humor to the makings of mother nature and all that she inhabits.

We are surrounded daily by energies and preceptions that create the areas of which we live. We you say something, it opens opportunity for that thought to manifest. Humans must realize, sooner than later, that the tongue is indeed the most powerful instrument on the body and with it we control life, death, positivity and negativity.

As you go forth in your life recognize that we are placed near the desires of heart all the time, even in moments that seem the most troubling to us. "When we are able to dig deep enough to find humilty above the circumstance and integrity above temptation, we then are in route to tenured success!" Be the one that stands firm when strong winds are blowing and the one that stands out while others are fitting in. You never know where you are even when you've been there before. Allusions in life are sometimes distractions to make us miss the bigger picture. Be able to know when you are in line with destiny. Be able to take advantage of your "Puzzling Appointments"... You may find that your piece of the puzzle fits perfectly with the piece that is right there next to you! Everything thing is for a reason! Have a great day my people! Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #84 "State of the Union Address (MY WAY)!!!"

"Have the courage to stand before even the most prestigious of people and advise them in ways of change...If indeed it is for the better. Stand firm on your beliefs regardless what man says..."

Hello there everyone! How are you this fine Tuesday? I am well, seeing that I am alive...that's about it though. I wanna get back in school, but financially I don't know if that is going to be feasible at the moment, well at least not where I want to go. The school system I currently work for has been sending my money to the wrong account. I've been waiting on something in the mail for about two weeks now, it still isn't here and the sender has no idea what could have happened to it. This Alabama judicial system has about pinched my last nerve and just my plans in general are not coming together as swiftly as I anticipated. I know that this is a life test for me, as well I know that things will soon get better, but I mean goodness...When is enough enough?

I guess that's why it was so easy for me to decide what I wanted to blog about today. I have began to space my posts out, in attempt to present a more detailed topic of discussion each time that I write. If you have not taken the time to read the previous blogs, I suggest that you do so. I guarantee that you will find something that will be life changing for you, but don't just take my word for it. Experience the manifestation for yourself. Today I will do my best to bring forth various issues that are causing turmoil for our international society and ways we should attempt to improve.

The term union has so many different meanings and interpretations...Some include the foe of the Confederacy, a recreational site on a collegiate campus, sexual intercourse, a relief for the poor in Great Britain or simply known as the act of uniting. Today in the "State of the Union Address (MY WAY)!!!" I want to tackle issues that alter the union of civilization. There is so much that distracts us from doing what we need to do. How do we overcome this? How do we prevent this from cycling? Is it possible to avoid the negativity?

To all nations I challenge you to be selfless enough to understand the foundational development of your peers and neighboring siblings, whether they be minutes, hours or even days away. "Friends will never thoroughly understand one another until they have evaluated and realized the background of that particular individual of which they socialize with." A man that wishes to pursue a woman will need to know the developmental cycle of that species if he wishes to be successful. If he doesn't know the things that make a woman tick or if he doesn't pay attention to the little things that make the woman smile, his experience will not end in his anticipated results.

Overtime woman has sought after independence where man has sought after the chance to provide and lead. Society however has revamped these efforts with technology, marketing, political scheming, judicial ideologies and just the lack of love from person to person in general. Why is this? Will we ever see the days again where people can leave there front doors open in none gated communities? Will we ever see the days where police officers don't have to be stationed in the public school again? Will we ever see the day where the judicial system focuses on the harm of things done against people and to neighborhoods versus a judicial system that focuses on out dated written documents to govern a modernized people? How long will we have to wait for the perfect person? Do we stand a chance in seeing another 100 years as a population?

Easily said, the choice is all up to us. Amazingly I watched an episode of Family Guy last night that was set in 1984. Peter asked Death if he could go back in time when he was 18 and when he did, he was able to appear to others as the Peter of that time, but mentally and physically for himself he was the present day individual. While back in time, he did somethings different from that which he did back then. With this alteration, when he returned to present day, he was no longer married to Lois and Al Gore was President. Of course you know Family Guy used this chance to tell how differently things would have been and how much better our society and the world as a whole would be now had Gore been elected. People make the difference. Peter was granted the opportunity to go back to 1984 again and re-right the wrongs he had committed. Because of his human nature it took him several times to do what he needed to do, only ending in violence because he screwed up so often. Sounds like us today huh?

My fellow citizens if I could go back in time, I would go all the way back to Adam and Eve, at the moment when Eve was approached by the serpent. I would have advised her to think differently and left. How do you think the world would be now...You think we'd view our friends and enemies the way we do? Would poverty even exist? Would someone have came a long later and still screwed things up again? We don't know but again, we do know that now it is up to us!

Until we have a strong enough judicial system to stand against violence, robberies and murders the same way they exert all possible energy to stand against traffic tickets, marijuana possession and our own personal living patterns, we will continue to suffer in the streets which will climax with suffering in the household. I challenge officers and judges to stand for something more than a quota! My last post broke down exactly how a school should be ran. There is no reason for police security to be in a public educational facility. I challenge students to have self-discipline and conduct themselves in orderly, productive manners. We all know that the perfect person does not exist...but all people can be respectful. "When you are able to give respect even to your adapted enemy, you are truly in route of the perfect heart!"

Keep that last quote close to you and you will go far! We each have ways that we can adjust to make the overall picture better, let's do it. Be sure that you tune in tonight 9/8central to any major network as President Obama gives the annual "State of the Union Address". Whether you are a supporter or not, you need to be aware of what's going on in the country as well...You need to know his plan to move forward. Will he attack GOP candidates tonight? Will he stick to the current issues at hand? Will he finally put Congress in their place? A lot has to go on tonight.  This is an election year. Let's make our voice heard so that we will be better on track to improve the conditions that we live in. Speak to someone you don't know. Peace...

Sunday Reflection #11 "OVERWHELMING SIGNS! (HE MAKES NO MISTAKES)"

"Indeed the artist can entertain an eliminate the gold-digger. The artist as well, can destroy the politician...But the artist is nothing without the people..."

I can honestly say that there is a lot going on in the world today and we are receiving so many signs. I wonder are we paying attention? Today I want to touch basis with various methods God will use to speak to us. When this happens, we must ensure that we are ready to take notes. These notes will be thesis statements to the term papers we call life. What will you write as your script?

There are several things in life that I like to avoid, such as  nagging, excessive arguing, causing scenes, being disrespected and so forth...but in order to understand where these notions of character are developed, I watch TV shows that display this or involve myself in situations that will force me to adapt. I will be using U.S. football to illustrate the Sunday Reflection today. Regardless of what your take is on this American style of the game, you want to examine the amazing way our creator will speak to us.

This weekend has indeed been rather interesting. I have been amazed by my daily experiences in the work place, the week leading up to it, as well my social encounters with family and friends...and of course the general interaction of the common everyday passing by of people. "When you take time to focus you will actually, rather easily, observe every single thing that is going on around you. With this ability you can create the atmosphere which you wish to dwell in." There are so many roles that must be looked at when making things in life function. "Whether it be family, scholastic or occupational related every individual plays a role that adds to the overall puzzle, of which we each are connected."

It really upset me today to learn of the death of Joe Paterno. Without going into deep detail of his resume, because I believe you should do some research on your own, just know that he is the winning-est coach in collegiate football history. I believe that it most upset me because of the reason I feel he died. Sure enough he was suffering from lung cancer, something he was diagnosed with shortly after being fired from his 60 plus year place of employment...but I believe he just got tired. With all the drama developing around the legacy of his tenure and the fact that he was pulled away from football, the one thing that gave him life, he could take no more. It baffles me how just weeks ago the media was bashing him for being tied into the scandals that took place at Penn State. Now, since he's dead you wanna talk good about him. People!

Recap time...let's look at what we read and compare what we know. Pennsylvania plays a very important role in American politics, it's the origin. This is where we laid the foundation to our judicial system and the guideline was set on how we would govern the masses. "Was this indeed something that was designed to be beneficial to the people...or just designed by people who were in search of benefits?" Regardless of the intent, the outcome is up to us! When we realize this, progression will come naturally for us. In Joe Paterno's 3rd season as head coach at Penn State he completed his 2nd consecutive undefeated season. Now back then the National Title was awarded by the President before any bowl game was played. Nixon picked Texas, who had previously lost to Penn State. Typical scandal...(let that sink in...)

Have you taken time to realize that it's a Presidential election year? Well, we'll come back to that... Let's take a look at the "Final 4" of the NFL. Representing my preferred conference, the NFC, you have the San Francisco 49ers and the New York Giants. From the AFC you have the New England Patriots and the Baltimore Ravens. This is very ironic seeing that it's 2012. Let's have another recap moment. Where was that place years ago, early Americans wished to journey to for gold? California right? And those people were called 49ers. When you think of New York, the term Giant says it all...from entertainment, to athletics to American history, the Statue of Liberty is there. Society has it's way of moving people from one place to another, at times not for good but at some point there is the unimagined success moment. Sounds like the Cleveland Browns turned Baltimore Ravens to me...How interesting they will be facing the New England Patriots a team that originally wore red, white and blue...now wearing red, silver and blue. Where is patriotism today? Who was it designed for?

Now not to say that any of these ball clubs individually represent the comparison I just made...but do keep in mind we need to recognize the foundational development of our society. Originally you have the Patriots who fought for freedom and developed documents that would create equality for the land, but have we lost sight of that? When we got settled, we got greedy. Knowing that gold would have deep value we began to do any and everything to get it...a materialistic matter. Lives were less important because of the 49er movement. Then we discovered as a people what we could do well, simply with our talents. We learned to become Giants fiscally and in popularity...but too much of something can tear you away from the necessities of life, this will bring tragic turmoil. That leaves the Raven, an animal observed as a figure of God in Siberia and parts of Asia. Formally just a Cleveland Brown (no offense), but now a one time Super Bowl Champion (should look up who they beat), in search of another opportunity. When you restart in life there are other opportunities.

I believe Joe Paterno died because he felt there was no more opportunity. He was stripped from his position and he lost hope and will power. We can not do that as a people. His first opportunity to win a BCS title game as head coach at Penn State came against the #2 ranked University of Alabama. Penn State lost. Amazingly he died short after Alabama won the title being ranked #2. Last year, the Packers beat the Steelers in the stadium of America's team, the Dallas Cowboys. People who get government cheese can be just as successful as the man who runs the industry. You just gotta know what you are doing!

So many people play roles in making things work. At a school you need a principal that has a vision, knows all regulations and listens well. You need assistant principals who can implement programs, tend to the needs of the staff and students and keep close touch of records. You need teachers who will mold students and communicate with parents. You need staff members who will keep the facility and personnel functioning. And finally you need concerned parents. When all of this happens you will have the star pupil. Recognize your role and embrace the roles of others.Start paying attention to the people that are trying to run your country. Might run into a gold-digger, egoist, manipulator, entertainer or a people person right for the job. Make your voice matter! Don't wait for approval and remember...Never let man determine when it's the end for you. Walk strong in faith and believe that your purpose is greater than any obstacle that is before you. Be a lasting impression on the lives of others. Have a great week Be blessed. Speak to someone you don't know. Peace...

Daily THOUGHT #83 "Shall We Overcome?"

You know when you think and wait, things really do come to pass. I wonder why when we think and act, those same things get all messed up? This is something that has been challenging the character of our people for so long. Regardless of what race or religions you represent, the pathways of your current doctrines have withstood several situations to create concrete instructions. These instructions would be the examples that would guide our nations to prosperity and opportunity, supposedly.

I think back to the original days of our American civilization. Several colonies wondered over to a new land, only to find out things were not as peachy as expected...growing ill and low of supplies would indeed create desire for assistance. Who would help I wonder? The people who were already here of course. With this foundation, each people were able to give there abilities and work alongside one another. But we all know the worst drug of them all, greed, would have nothing like this to happen.

"Sometimes in life, we all must grab hold to a dream...this being the only way everyone would gain from its manifestation!"

How are you'll doing today? I'm fine...I guess I'm just reflecting on this Martin Luther King, Jr. holiday a little more intensely this year. Especially with the way things are going on in society. I'm tired of the people abusing the voice. We have the power and ability to speak about anything that the world has to offer, yet we choose to speak when it is for individual praise, intended harm or general gossip...while remaining silent when time to represent cause, evolution and justice. I have great concern for our future generations that will have to lead amongst a people that will soon feel no regards for standards in human regulations.

Time passes by so swiftly, that at times we forget to take note of things that happen and appear. We forget the importance of calendar systems and we show no regards to our tasks of retaining one another in conversation, reflection and meditation. You should not fear your ability to elevate your mind and inner understandings of your surroundings. Sit down one day, think of something important to you, close your eyes and take deep breaths. (that's the blog description just email me or leave your email for details). By connecting with the true connection anything is possible to recognize.

Shall we really overcome? I mean... Will any of us ever get the picture of what happened during the various movements of our civilization? I pray so, because the living conditions and mannerisms of the citizen community are getting ridiculous. These habitual patters are causing much discomfort in the hearts of our people, forcing them to retaliate in barbaric forms and methods. No one indeed enters society with ill proper motives. The trigger may be implanted genetically, but it must be embraced consistently to even have effect.

It's gotten so bad out here now and teachers are having to catch it the most. Not because they are not capable of doing their jobs, but because they are having to do their jobs and every other persons job as well. And unless you are some type of jack of all trades, that may be difficult for someone. A Black man was able to stand up and say something to the world in a nation of White supremacists, some of these even wanting him dead...but because of peace, they could find no reason. Brother Martin just needed a little more time.

If our people would have continued to walk peacefully, even after the assassination, I believe our country would be far better off now...guess will never get away from that eye for an eye mentality. It would take all day to explain that, but many of you get the drift. When things will involve lots of people, we must think collectively. The more chief like ambitions that are discussed, the more opportunities for failure are created. When methods are showing signs of progression, find ways to advance them. Don't allow position or tempting desire persuade you to disconnect from your source.

We can overcome...If we learn to pay attention and listen a little bit more. We would overcome if we tapped in a little more to equality components. We will overcome when we allow our individual gifts to emerge with the gifts of others and uplift society. We shall overcome when we recognize that we are all brothers and sisters...with this we will question our actions before they occur, knowing how siblings would handle that particular situation. In life we will be misguided and misled, we just have to know when to be humble enough to admit and remove.

Happy Martin Luther King, Jr. Day! May our reflection create atmospheres of peace, equality and justice. May it inspire you to have an great week! Speak to someone you don't know. Much Love my people!

Daily THOUGHT #82 "Crucial Baby Steps"

"Tuning in to Life's Channel...The only way to properly understand how Life Works"

Man am I happy that I made it into the house before the sky just decided to fall out from above. It's looking really bad outside in Huntsville, AL right now, the power is even out in some areas, but I guess this is good writing weather so here I go. How are you today? I am doing okay. As friend of mine once said, it's a good okay, so don't be too worried. There are just a lot of approaching deadlines that I have on my plate and I want to make sure that I get everything done in a timely and professional manner. That is why today we will be discussing "Crucial Baby Steps".

It is very important in life that we dream enormously. This means, that yes...that wild and crazy THOUGHT that came to your mind, you know the one everybody else would definitely say is not possible...Yea that one, you need to have multiple visions like that and have a strong belief that it will too come to past. Many times, people go shopping and see these remarkable makes and clothing designs, but are not properly equipped to purchase what they want. Now for some this matters not, because there will be times in life regardless of how much money they don't have or how many prior responsibilities they were committed to... They will still get something which they feel they just must have. This is when one must develop self discipline.

Why shouldn't you have the luxurious things in life? Why shouldn't you be able to travel anywhere in the world? Why should you even care? Everything that was put here on this earth is in our dominion and because of that there will be something that we find substance in. All over the world there are people that think, act and imagine like you. Although they may look completely different, the similar characteristic traits are undeniable. "Eventually our people will begin to judge a book by it's pages..." I often wonder who I have passed by or neglected in my life that would have been that great friend, listener and understander?

"I personally believe that things continue to remain out of our reach, simply because there is never a concrete process of making things happen!" Say for instance you want to save your money to get a new laptop. Based on your salary, bills and required expenses it will take you about 4 months to get it...But in that 4 month span, 3 of your favorite movies come out, 2 of your favorite artists release new albums, your top chosen clothing line releases a new season of wear, and oh yea that unexpected weekend voyage somewhere out of town comes up too and you know you can't leave your friends hanging... Well now you have created a bind. You will miss your deadline of trying to get the laptop, but more importantly what else will you have thrown out or reeled into your life, simply because you couldn't keep focus? This is something to seriously think about.

No one said that after crawling you have to walk... Who cares? If you can figure out how to run, just from crawling, then go right ahead. But regardless of who you are, you will begin your Earthly journey crawling everywhere you got to go, unless you are fortunate enough to be picked up of course... and who would want to be picked up their entire life? Exactly... "We all think and develop differently, but when we are able to reflect and progress with origin mentalities, success is very near!" How close are you to the basics? Do you feel success around the corner? Or are you too busy taking off shoes that fit?

As you go forth with your many aspirations, realize that anything is indeed possible. Also recognize that you will have to develop a plan of sequence. You need a point A and a time to get there and then the same for points B- whatever. Set a long term goal of what you want to do and then fill in the blanks. The best thing to do is become very open minded with the fill in the blank space, because the world has a very unique way of teaching us how to do things, who to associate with and what things to pursue. When you learn how to listen and evaluate, all things in life will be very simple. But until then, you will struggle...Trust!

The choice is yours, what you want to see and do, so make things happen. Think huge, but take your time and truly embrace each and every single one of those "Crucial Baby Steps" as you reach your life destinations. It's the middle of the week, so you know what I always tell you... Think back on what has happened thus far and prepare for the weekend. Speak to someone you don't know! Peace...
